I've had a toothache for the past few hours. I took an aleve earlier, but it didn't work. So I guess I'll take another one. It's very distracting when I'm trying to read. An 100 page reading was assigned today that's due Thursday. Christine de Pizan's Book of the City of Ladies. It's interesting, but sooo slow right now. I hope it picks up soon.
Tomorrow I find out if all that studying I did for my stats test paid off. Eep.
Tuesday, March 30, 2004
It's been a few days since I last blogged. Whoops. I just haven't felt like writing anything. That, and I was studying a lot for my stats test. So I hope I did well! I find out tomorrow. Dun dun dunnnnn...
I made cinnamon rolls last night. My apartment smelled REALLY good. But, uh, whoops, I couldn't tell which part of the rolls were supposed to face up, so I ended up putting the cinnamon side down, so they kind of stuck to the cookie sheet. My bad. They're still good though. I'm a big fan of cinnamon rolls.
After a boring morning of service learning, I am tired. It's not even noon yet. It's cold and rainy. Perfect napping weather. So I think I'll go take one.

D - Dad's name? Edward
E - Essential makeup item? powder foundation.

I was just at Walgreens, buying fabric softener so I can do laundry tonight. And while I was checking out, someone came up behind me, put his stuff on the counter (just like a soda) and was standing WAY too close to me. I hate when people do that! It's like "dude, a little space please." I'm one of those people who REALLY needs my personal space to not be invaded by others, especially strangers. It just makes me uncomfortable beyond belief. That's also why I'm not a big hugger.
And then he proceeded to burp... seemingly directly in my ear. I did not appreciate it. I'm not sure anyone would appreciate some random person burping in their ear. If there's anyone who does... then I'm very afraid of that person.

Just taking this time out of studying to post that the Marquette women beat Old Dominion today in the first round of tournament play!! Now on Tuesday, they will play whoever wins the Duke- Northwestern State game.
And man, it's a really good thing I didn't get chosen to go. Because I have an ethics test on Wednesday, and the band won't be back by then, probably. My teacher is really nice and I'm sure I could have made it up, but making up tests is such a pain in the ass and I like to avoid it.
But yay!! I'm so excited for the women!

It's currently 57 degrees. The sun is bright, the wind is blowing. So why am I inside? Yeah, I don't know either. Went to Beans and Barley earlier. Got a tofu burger and some groceries.
I know, I know. My life is too exciting.
W. Wisconsin Ave was backed up, near the Lake. A protest against the war. I came home and turned on CNN and they said that there are protests going on nationwide. It's the "anniversary" of the start of the war. I can't believe it's been one year. My stance from a year ago still stands... the US had no real business starting this war. I mean, sure, Saddam Hussein was captured, but all we're going to do is keep him from doing more trouble. I'm guessing he's going to be sentenced to death. Eventually. But notice how even though he's in captivity, there are still terrorist acts going on. Look what happened to those poor people in Madrid. This war was originally suposed to be to stop terrorism. Has it been successful?
I don't know, ask the victims of the Madrid bombing.. and all the other terrorist acts that have happened in the past year.
Whoa. I didn't think this would become such a long and ranting entry.

5 years ago I...
a) was two months away from turning 16.
b) received my first kiss, from my first boyfriend, Tim.
c) was horseback riding every week. Sigh.
d) was in my sophomore year of HS.
e) was pretty much living in blissful oblivion.
1 year ago I...
a) was about to turn 20.
b) was jobless.
c) was considering breaking up with Todd.
d) was living at home.
e) was going to Japanese class every day, seeing Dave. Sigh.
Yesterday I...
a) went to class. Except for ethics.
b) was sick.
c) went to bed around 10:30.
d) made spaghetti for dinner.
e) went to band.
Today I...
a) woke up at 10.
b) went to class.
c) watched Friends.
d) started this blog. :-)
e) was still not feeling so hot.
Tomorrow I will...
a) go to class. All of them.
b) go to band.
c) probably be bored.
d) do homework, if I'm so lucky.
e) breathe some air.

I just spent way too long changing around my template and adding a comment thing and all that. And I'm not happy with the size of the font right now, but I can't deal with this anymore. It's driving me insane.
Whoa, some one just knocked on my door. It was Melissa, wanting to borrow my lighter.
And for those who know about my diaryland diary: yes, I will still be updating it.
I suppose I haven't studied quite as much as I should have today. Before I start feeling too guilty, I'll go do that now.
